JML Electric is a family-owned and operated, licensed and bonded Arizona electrical contractor serving the Phoenix metro area for nearly 30 years, with our company proudly established almost 20 years ago. We deliver high-quality work on residential new builds and remodels for homeowners, as well as commercial office, building, and industrial projects for general contractors—covering tenant improvements, building systems, and lighting upgrades. Known for clear communication and meticulous workmanship, we provide upfront quotes, schedule quoted after-hours work when needed, and stand behind every job we do.

Josh Lorenzen
’m Josh Lorenzen, owner of JML Electric. My journey in electrical work began in 1994 during high school, learning from a close friend’s family with generations in the trade. I quickly developed a passion for troubleshooting and hands-on work, leading me through apprenticeships and projects, including designing electric vehicle superchargers for an airport. After 8 years in the field, I took a leap of faith and started JML Electric with just a small truck, $500, and two weeks’ worth of jobs. Thanks to word-of-mouth referrals, my business thrived for 9 years before I transitioned to firefighting in 2011.
Even as a firefighter, I’ve stayed active in the electrical trade, taking on projects solely through referrals—never needing to advertise. Now, mentoring my son as he joins the trade has reignited my passion for learning and teaching. Outside of work, I love spending time with my wife of 23 years and kids, playing sports, volunteering, and taking on endurance challenges like the 2-mile Alcatraz swim and 8.5-mile Golden Gate Bridge run.

Kelly Lorenzen
Kelly Lorenzen is the driving force behind JML Electric. Blending years of business leadership, project management, and client-focused strategy to keep the company running efficiently and effectively. With a deep understanding of the electrical industry and a passion for helping others grow, Kelly oversees operations, client relations, and strategic partnerships, ensuring every project reflects the company’s core values of precision, reliability, and integrity.
Before leading JML Electric, Kelly built a career supporting small business development and consulting. Experience that now fuels her mission to provide exceptional service and operational excellence across every aspect of the company. She is dedicated to building long-term relationships with clients, empowering her team, and continually improving systems that make JML Electric a trusted name in electrical services.
When she’s not managing business operations, Kelly enjoys mentoring other entrepreneurs, collaborating with local partners, and spending time with family in the Arizona sunshine.
Joshua Gruenwald
Meet Josh - lovingly nicknamed “Joshee” (we’ve got a few Joshs on the team!). He moved to Arizona for college and quickly stood out as a fast learner with a calm, dependable presence.
Now an apprentice electrician, Joshee is a huge help to our project managers, bringing curiosity, sharp attention to detail, and steady follow-through to every job. We’re excited to see him grow his career here at JML Electric.

Joshua has been part of our family business for four years and stepped in full-time last year. A hardworking problem-solver, he brings smart, savvy solutions to every job and a positive energy that clients always notice—“a delight to have on-site,” as many tell us.
